THE JUNGLE BOOK
Adapted by Tim Kelly
This imaginative play – with an adult cast – is based on Rudyard Kipling’s stories about the boy Mowgli, who is raised by wolves in a jungle in India. There the tiger Shere Khan is his sworn enemy. Audience children participate as silly monkeys, helpful elephants, wolves, reptiles, bees, and more! “An engaging adaptation . . . . The colorful – and recycled – set immerses families in the jungle world,” said The Morning Call. Directed by Marcie Schlener, and presented August 8-17 at St. Luke’s Church in Allentown. Four free Saturday-morning theatre arts workshops for kids preceded the play’s opening.
