Coming Clean

An interactive theatre experience addressing the current opioid epidemic.

Allentown Public Theatre will launch its 2018 Voices of Conscience series with a public performance of this unique program.  Coming Clean utilizes Theatre of the Oppressed techniques to engage audience members as brainstormers and problem-solvers – both on stage and in their own lives.

Originally designed for middle and high school students, Coming Clean is the perfect way to reach your students with opioid awareness education.  We don’t preach, and we don’t talk down to students – we instead empower them to learn to think for themselves.  Paired with your health teacher or

A flexible program, Coming Clean can be offered in a variety of formats, either in-school or after-school:

  • one 90-minute workshop (serves up to 30 students at a time)
  • two 45-minute workshops (serves up to 30 students at a time)
  • one 45-minute workshop (serves up to 30 students at a time)
  • one 90-minute assembly (serves about 300 students)
  • multi-week workshop series (serves up to 30 students a class)
